Athletic Fee:

A fee of $100 is to be paid for each sport played at the junior and senior high level, except for football where the fee will be $150 to participate. All athletic checks will be held until the end of the tryout period. When the team rosters are complete the checks will either be cashed or returned. Checks will only be returned if your child did not make the team. Students who quit after the first game or are placed on academic probation after the first game will not have the athletic fee refunded.

A student athlete must maintain satisfactory progress in all courses of study. A student will become ineligible if they have earned two grades below 70 or any one grade below 65. Eligibility shall be cumulative from the beginning of the grading period, and shall be reported on a weekly basis. A student's cumulative work from the beginning of the grading period which does not as of any Friday meet the standards provided shall be ineligible to participate from the immediately following Sunday through Saturday. Practice and Contest Participation Policy:

Joining a team is a commitment! Should some event other than absence from school, cause you to miss a practice or contest you must notify your coach in advance. This should be done in person when possible.

Excused absence from a team is understood to be any excused school absence or any absence pre-excused by the coach. All other absences from practice or contests will be considered unexcused. An unexcused absence from practice or contest will result in the athlete sitting out all or a portion of the next contest. Sittion out requires the athlete be at the contest but may not participate. A second unexcused absence will require a meeting with the athletic director to determine if the athlete may remain with the team. A third unexcused absende will result in automatic removal from the team.

Any member of a high school team, who participates in an athletic contest an an individual or as a member of a team in the same sport during the same season, shall be ineligible to compete in that sport unless a waiver is approved by the principal and placed in the student's athletic file.
