About This Home Fellowship
Our home group has formed as a fellowship of believers in the awesome grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our focus is to grow together in knowing, loving and enjoying Jesus Christ. We believe we are tangible expressions to one another of the love, acceptance and forgiveness that flows from God's heart. Recognizing we are part of a large and growing church we focus on being channels of caring, sharing and support to each other. The heartbeat of the home group is WE ARE FAMILY!
The word W. I. F. E. sums up the agenda of our home gatherings.
- W is for worship - to see Jesus and lift Him up. We do this with music, by sharing testimony and prayer.
- I is for instruction - in God's Word and ways. Verse by verse sharing of the Bible with emphasis on applying it to relevant daily situations.
- F is for fellowship - sharing our lives with one another. Wanting and working at getting to know, trust and pray for each another. Seeking to establish relationships that give us support and accountability as we grow in becoming godly men and women.
- E is for evangelism - showing and sharing Jesus. Open to opportunities to share His good news to Unbelievers within and outside the home group. Fervently praying for unsaved family and friends to receive Jesus.
Our evenings together go something like this: people arrive around 7:30 (coffee, laughter, catching up with one another). At 8:00 we pray and begin to worship the Lord in music. We pray for the concerns that are shared, share testimonies of praise and answered prayer.
We then study His Word verse by verse. There is opportunity to participate or ask questions. (It's OK to be quiet too.) We again take time to pray for one another. We celebrate communion every other month.
