Weekly Topics

Can eight weeks make a difference in my faith?

Join us for our study in Strategies – learning and applying the lessons from notable men and defining moments in the Bible, key takeaways from successes and failures.

“To be forewarned is to be forearmed”

…lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Cor 2:11

Week 1 Playing with Fire – Samson & Joseph – Examining the danger of not taking temptation seriously and the benefits of walking in the light.

Week 2 Staying Disciplined – David & Paul   Why a seemingly harmless lapse can take down a king and why disciplining our body is a key to endurance.

Week 3 Danger of Bitterness – Ahithophel & Jesus   How hatred can destroy a man and how forgiveness takes us from slavery to freedom.

Week 4 Keeping Perspective – Esau & Daniel   How living by our emotions can lead to stupid decisions and why our outward circumstances don’t dictate our actions.

Week 5 The Snare of Coveting – Judas & the Good Samaritan  How money can blind a man and why generosity is so important.

Week 6 Worldliness – Demas & Abraham   The strong pull of this present world vs. living for the one to come.

Week 7 The Next Generation – Solomon & Timothy   What causes one man to build on a Godly foundation and one man to tear it down.

Week 8 Pleasing God or Pleasing Men – Peter   Sometimes we succeed, and sometimes we fail; examining the key to integrity instead of hypocrisy.
